Ithacappella, also known as the Ithaca College Men’s Chorus, was founded in 1996 by four men with a love for singing and a passion for performing.  Since its inception, the group has grown from its choral roots to become one of the premier male collegiate a cappella groups in the world.  Along the way, the ensemble’s repertoire has expanded to include everything from traditional barbershop tunes to current radio hits. The group conducts two tours each year, and has brought its unique blend of music, humor, and education to schools in San Francisco, Washington, D.C., New Orleans, Orlando, New York City, and now East Brunswick! Though the sound of the group has evolved over time, one thing remains constant: its dedication to putting on high energy, fun shows for the entire family. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students/seniors/staff. For tickets go to www.ebnet.org and click on the In the Arts quick link. Tickets will also be available at the door.

In addition to exciting main stage concerts, the group also enjoys bringing its talent to schools in the form of interactive singing workshops designed to educate and inspire musicians of all ages. During the day on Nov. 22, thanks to funding from the East Brunswick Education Foundation, Ithacapella will be working with students in grades 6-12 that participate in various district choruses and ensembles. In the evening some high school students will perform a song or two with these traveling professionals to show what they learned in the workshop during the day.
