Tova Friedman "Surviving Auschwitz"

Meet Tova Friedman, one of the youngest child survivors of the notorious Auschwitz death camp, during a presentation on Tuesday, May 22, at 7 p.m. at the East Brunswick Public Library. During her visit, Tova will share her captivating story in recognition of National Holocaust Month.

At an age when most children board the bus to go to their first day of Kindergarten, Tova and her family entered a train cattle car packed with other people, their destination unknown.  Her story, and that of two of her friends,  appears in the book, “Kinderlager and the Emmy award-winning documentary, “Surviving Auschwitz: Children of the Shoah,” is based on this book.  All are welcome
to join Tova for a very memorable evening.

Tova is the former Executive Director of Jewish Family Service of Somerset,
