Hammarskjold To Hold Relay for Life
Students have been preparing all month for their own version of the cancer awareness event.
Students at are painting the town purple!
On Friday, the students will be holding a pep rally and a Mini Relay for Life event, and to prepare, the hallways, doors, and classrooms were decorated purple to promote cancer awareness.
To be held rain or shine, the event is modeled on the township-wide event held Saturday.

For the month of June, students have been donating spare change to their house buckets for a penny drive , and that’s in addition to individual fundraising and the selling of luminaries.
Students also sold moons and stars to be hung up in the school cafeteria to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Students also made posters to line the school hallways and will participate in a Survivors Walk.
