Middlesex County College Announces Women's History Month Programs

March's events include lectures, a cooking demonstration and bus trips.

Middlesex County College will honor Women’s History Month in March with the theme of “Women’s Health, Body, Mind and Spirit.”

The program will include workshops from motivational speaker Traciana Graves and a discussion of eating disorders from Stacy Prussman.

“We want to encourage a strong self-image for women through this program,” said Patricia Daly, director of Student Activities at the College. “Sometimes students – particularly women – will have a negative self-image because they may feel they aren’t the right weight, or don’t look the right way, or don’t dress the right way. This can lead to eating disorders or personal alienation from friends and family. The idea behind this month is to give them the confidence to say ‘I’m happy with who I am.’ We want to empower women to stand up for themselves.”
