School Charities and Events Set for Next Weekend

Chittick, Irwin and Frost schools will all host charity events next week.

Here’s a round up of a few things East Brunswick Schools is doing that you may not know about! Every one of them is for a good cause, so be sure to head over.

The East Brunswick Special Education PTA (SEPTA) will sponsor a vendor and information night on Thursday, Oct. 13, from 7 to 9 p.m. at , 5 Flagler St. East Brunswick.

October is Disability Awareness in Month, and in recognition of that, there will be agencies to provide information on listening therapy, reading and speech, chiropractic, audiology, friendship clubs and recreation, finance and more.

You’ll also be able to get started on your holiday shopping. Vendors will include Premier Designs, Pampered Chef, Home and garden, homemade items and more. Money raised at the event will go toward educational materials for the special education program.

The PTA will hold a clothing drive on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the school, 65 Frost Avenue, East Brunswick, between 8:30 a.m. and noon. The PTA will receive money for every pound collected.

Please put your donations into tightly tied plastic bags. Money raised at the event will go toward technology and cultural arts events for the students.   

The will hold its Second Annual Car Wash on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the school, 71 Race Track Road, East Brunswick, between 10 a.m. and 1 pm. Come by and get your car washed, $5 for cars, $7 for vans and SUVs. All proceeds will go to support the school’s Positive Behavior Support in Schools Program.

In the event of rain, the car wash will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22.
