Blue Lightning Seeks Championship

It's been a wild ride this week for the Silver Bullets Blue Lightning.

It’s been a busy week for the U13 girls CNJSB Blue Lightning.

On Thursday, June 7, the girls defeated a tough Hillsborough squad 1-0, breaking a two-way tie in the standings and giving Blue Lightning the Flight 1 Championship.

The hard fought match ended in the final minutes when the Blue Lightning scored to break a 0-0 tie. In the clubs’ two previous meetings each team walked away with a 0-0 tie.

With the championship under their belt, the girls moved onto the playoffs where they faced a Summit team, but the Flight 4 Champions were no match for the Silver Bullets and the Blue Lightning won handily by a score of 5-1.

Today (Saturday), the squad will play the Flight 2 champions from Long Valley.
