These "Buddies" don't realize the wonderful effect they have on their players. There was not a frown on the field Saturday morning during the East Brunswick Soccer Club's TOP Soccer program.
TOP Soccer is designed to bring the game of soccer to boys and girls with special needs by pairing each with a “buddy” to assist in practicing and coaching. Groundwork for the program was laid by former club President Ron Bransdorfer, and continued by other club members.
If anyone would like to volunteer to become a "Buddy" to help disabled children in playing and learning soccer, please go to www.ebsoccer.com. There are children waiting for your assistance. You will be amazed at what good it will do for you, as well.
