Council Recognizes Girls Softball Team

The Township Council recognized several EBHS athletes and teams, Monday.

The Township Council passed a proclamation Monday recognizing the outstanding season the East Brunswick High Schools Girls Softball Team had this spring.

The squad, coached by Kevin Brady and assistants Vicki Zaleski and Kerri McQuade, worked hard to bring home the titles with a record of 25-5.

“Whereas, this type of competition provides an opportunity for our youth to learn and enjoy the meaning of team spirit and value of hard work and dedication; now, therefore be it proclaimed that I, David Stahl, Mayor of the Township of East Brunswick, congratulate the East Brunswick High School Girls Softball Team and their head coach, Kevin Brady, and assistants Vicki Zaleski and Kerri McQuade on their achievement and commend them for exhibiting qualities of hard work, perseverance and self-sacrifice throughout the season,” read the proclamation.

Members of the team include Sara Acevedo, Meagan Costello, Sarah Gunia, Elizabeth Hyland, Shelby Lipson, Lauren Assennata, Lauren Cram, Tyler Habib, Gabrielle Kelliher, Samantha Mottola, Sarah Blank, Jessica Dudra, Caitlen Hertel, Morgan Lee and Victoria Zaccaria.
