EBHS Stars to Play in Snapple Bowl

The Snapple Bowl will be played Thursday at the East Brunswick High School.

Two seniors who helped the 2011-12 East Brunswick High School football team will represent the Bears in the upcoming Snapple Bowl.

The 19th annual all-star game, which pits stars from Middlesex County against Union County, will be held on July 19 at l. The game raises money for The New Jersey Institute for Disabilities in Edison and The Children's Specialized Hospital in Fanwood.

Representing EBHS will be running back Chris Kania and tight end Haydn Warren. Cheerleaders Kim Kelly and Jordyn Mueller also will be part of the event. The Bears finished 1-9 in 2011-12.

The Middlesex County team has been practicing at East Brunswick High School last week and this week. The squad will also practice tonight (Tuesday, July 17) from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will have a 1 p.m. walkthrough on July 18. 

A banquet will be held that evening at the Pines Manor in Edison for both teams and cheerleaders. The 19th annual Snapple Bowl will be held on July 19 at East Brunswick High School, with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
