Frost wins girls GMC 3200

Nfonoyim earns pair of medals

Being just a freshman, Sarah Frost is just starting her long run for the East Brunswick High School girls track team. Frost is just thankful she has some talented teammates to join her in the adventure.

Frost, Bianca Nfonoyim and Alyssa Silver are all East Brunswick distance runners that earned medals while competing in the Greater Middlesex Conference Championships, held May 14 at South Plainfield.

"I see their success and they are very supportive," Frost said of her older teammates. "We pick up each other's spirits. They are great role models."

Obviously, Frost is a quick learner. She won the 3200 in a time of 11:48.77. She also added a fourth in the 1600 (5:30.53).

"I hoped I could get a good time, but I never expected to win," Frost said.

"The team was really happy because we had a lot of personal records," Frost noted.

"We're hoping (to carry this success into the sectionals on May 27-28). We all want to do really well there. I think we will."
