Register now for Blackhawks Lacrosse

Register for the Blackhawks Lacrosse League and become a part of one of the fastest growing sports in America.

“There is a reason why lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the US. Lacrosse is a fast paced, exciting fun game,” said club member Mary Fragale.

Lacrosse has been described as a combination of basketball, soccer and hockey and rewards coordination and agility, said Fragale.

Played at the turf fields at Heavenly Farms, lacrosse is open to boys and girls and is open to players in kindergarten through eighth-grade who live in East Brunswick and surroundings towns that don’t have their own club. New this year is a clinic team for kindergarten through second-graders.

While boys start in kindergarten, the girls program is open to sixth-graders and up right now.

“Our league emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, respect, and most of all, fun,” said Fragale. “The majority of our players return each year, and build upon the skills they have learned the previous year. This provides our players with a wonderful set of skills that will remain with them as they enter high school.”

Games are both home and away, with away games usually no further than a 30-minute ride. Teams also participate in two tournaments, giving players and their families an opportunity for a fun day outside.

Registration for students in grades three through eight is $175 per East Brunswick resident and $185 for non-residents. For students in kindergarten through second grade, the price is $95 per resident, and $105 for non-residents. All players must have their own equipment, but uniforms are provided for third- through eighth-graders.
