Sen. Barbara Buono celebrated Thursday's gold medal performance by East Brunswick native Heather O’Reilly and the rest of the US Women’s Soccer Team.
It’s a thrill for everyone in New Jersey that Heather O’Reilly and the rest of the women’s soccer team will be bringing back home the gold from the London Olympics. From the breathtaking last-second win over Canada in the semifinals to today’s wire-to-wire victory over Japan, the entire team showed the value of hard work, dedication and good sportsmanship. It’s a well-deserved honor that will inspire another generation of U.S. Olympians to strive for their best.
