OPEN HOUSE BLITZ: EB WELL REPRESENTED

Realtor Offices across town will be holding open houses this weekend as part of a Nationwide Open House Blitz sponsored by the National Association of Realtors.

My office is buzzing with activity.

In addition to this year's busy spring season, our brokers, sales associates, adminstrators and marketing team are hard at work preparing for the  "Nationwide Open House Weekend."

Our residential office will be hosting 26 open houses this weekend as part of the National Association of Realtors (NAR) effort.  We are optimistic it will lead to more sales as the spring market turns to summer.

Despite what I've been hearing and reading about a double dip recession, our office remains busy with steady sales and rental activity.

There is no doubt that less desirable communities and over-built cities are taking longer to recover. Short sales, a week job market and rumors about large numbers of foreclosures continue to slow down the recovery.

But there are some signs of an improving local market.  Affordable prices, lower interest, and a consistent supply of homes  are some of the positive attributes of today's market.  East Brunswick's strategic location close to New York City and transportation hubs, the renowned school system and expansive services also give us an edge.

Despite the negative press, we all know, "there's no place like home."  And that will never change.  So, if you're looking for more space, or thinking about a change, stop in at one of the hundreds of Open Houses this weekend throughout the region.  You're sure to meet a realtor who will be happy to see you!
