Community Corner

Sorting, Packing and Fun in East Brunswick

As a leader in the national movement to preserve September 11th as a day of service and remembrance, Jersey Cares will engage over 1,000 volunteers in projects to improve their communities and state. With these projects, volunteers will demonstrate that the actions of September 11th that were designed to foster division and animosity have instead brought unity and service both in New Jersey and throughout America.

The Crisis Room at Aldersgate was created in response to clothing and food needs of many people in the area. Families from the Middlesex County area can get food, clothing and financial assistance from the Crisis Room. They provide food and clothing assistance with no questions asked. Volunteers will sort and bag food donations in the thrift store. Volunteers will also clean and
stain the front porch and back deck.
