“It’s a unique opportunity to find a one-of-a-kind brand new dress at a bargain basement price,” said Friends member and event organizer Willette Seibel. “Weddings are so expensive This is a way of saving and still looking stunning.”

The new dresses start at $100 each and were donated by East Brunswick resident Tina Tsang and Michelle and Sunny Chou, owners of bridal shop Sunny’s Boutique, which closed. All sales are final and cash only is accepted.

In addition, there will be an open fitting room. No makeup, perfume or jewelry will be allowed in the fitting room.

Proceeds from the event will go toward the Friends of the Library, with works to provide additional funding and other items to the library.

“We're very fortunate to live in East Brunswick, where residents support us and our fundraising efforts, and help us us think outside the box by presenting us with unique opportunities to support the library,” said Seibel.

Tickets are $5 and are on sale now at the Circulation Desk. Garment bags for the gowns and dresses were donated by Mr. A’s Cleaners, 40 S. Main St., Milltown, N.J. 08850.
