Saluting Our Vets, Frost School Vendor Night This Week in East Brunswick

Events in and around town this week.

Monday

Veterans Day Ceremony, Veterans Park at the East Brunswick Municipal Complex, 1 Jean Walling Civic Center Drive, 6 p.m.

Taking part in the program will be bagpipe player John O’Keefe, while John Marmion, Chaplain of VFW Post 133 will play T.A.P.S. Deacon Jack Kenny of St. Bartholomew Church will deliver the Invocation, Rabbi Eric Eisenkramer of Temple B’nai Shalom will deliver the Benediction, and Irwin Steinlight of the Vietnam Veterans of America will lead the Pledge of Allegiance. 

Tuesday

Holiday Book Sale, East Brunswick Public Library, 2 Jean Walling Civic Center, East Brunswick, 9 a.m.

Pick up a great gift or a new family heirloom during the Holiday Book Sale at the East Brunswick Public Library. Come in from Nov. 12 through Nov. 17 and choose from books that celebrate Hanukkah, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Purim, holiday cooking, decorating and more. These books are a great bargain and will make a wonderful addition to anyone’s holiday season. 

Helios Volleyball Club - Girls Team Tryouts, Hammarskjold Middle School Gym, 200 Rues Lane, East Brunswick, 8 p.m.

Helios Volleyball Club will be holding tryouts for girls seeking a spot on an HVC competitive team.  All players must pre-register online (click here). Full details about the teams, tryouts, and the club can be found here.

Wednesday

Rotary Club Casual Networking Event, 678 Cranbury Rd, East Brunswick, 5:30 p.m.

The purpose of the event is to allow local area business and professional men and women the opportunity to learn how Rotary is a great avenue for those interested in making new friends and making a difference in the community. Appetizers will be served and there will be a cash bar.  Cost is $15 per person. Call Joe Xerri at 732-214-0600 for information.

Frost School Vendor Night, 65 Frost Avenue, East Brunswick, 6:30 p.m.

Handmade jewelry, chocolates, cosmetics, kitchenware, sports memorabilia and party planning are only a sampling of what you’ll find from local vendors.
