Roots Party, Paper Cutting Art Workshop Highlight East Brunswick Weekend

E.B. Roots Project Party, East Brunswick Public Library, 2 Jean Walling Civic Center, East Brunswick, 3 p.m.

The East Brunswick Roots project is a new initiative celebrating the cultures and nationalities that make up the population of East Brunswick. Everyone is invited to the party. Each country will be celebrated with a lecture and an arts performance or workshop. There will also beassociated activities such as book and media displays, youth programs, young adult programs and/or films that also celebrate each culture.

Hands-on Paper-Cutting Workshop with Master ArtistEast Brunswick Public Library, 2 Jean Walling Civic Center, East Brunswick, 3 p.m.

If you’ve ever cut a paper snowflake, you have engaged in the art of paper-cutting. Learn from Master Artist Hou-Tien Cheng how to take your paper-cutting skills to a whole new level. Two free hands-on workshops. High school age and up.
