Gerard Binda, age 56, of East Brunswick passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Manhattan he had resided in Parlin before moving to East Brunswick in 1996. Gerard was the owner of Cedar Oaks Landscaping of Parlin and East Brunswick since 1986. Surviving are his parents Bruno and Vincenza Binda of Manalapan, his brother Carlo Binda and his wife Denise of Old Bridge, his sisters Mary Ann Binda of Manalapan and Adrianne Wojyn and her husband Greg of Englishtown, his son Alex, and his nieces Heather, Ashley, and Samantha. Born in San Polo Matese, Italy, he came to the United States in 1936, settling in Newark. He resided in Hillside for 40 years before moving to Point Pleasant Beach 25 years ago. He was displaced from his home due to Hurricane Sandy, and had been living with his daughter Diane in East Brunswick for the past six months.
