Vicki Becker, Meredith Shaw and Kevin McEvoy will run for seats on the East Brunswick Board of Education.
The names of three people who want to serve on the East Brunswick Board of Education will be on the ballot in November. Incumbents Vicki Becker and Meredith Shaw will be seeking three-year seats on the school board as will newcomer Kevin McEvoy. All three filed their applications to run before the Tuesday deadline. Incumbent Susan Karp did not file an application to run again. There are three, three-year seats up for grabs. Normally school board elections are in April, however, in January the board voted to take advantage of new legislation to move elections to November. School elections will be held Wednesday, April 27. On the ballot for school board will be incumbents Laurie Lachs, Todd Simmens and Katie Spiegler, who are seeking re-election, and Andrew Baharlias, who is hoping to win a seat for the first time.
