Rutgers to Host State's Largest Collegiate Career Fair on Jan. 5
160 employers will be on hand to speak with recent college grads and undergrads looking for work
Nearly 160 employers from a wide range of industries and sectors will greet job-seeking recent and soon-to-be college graduates during the New Jersey Collegiate Career Day sponsored by Rutgers Career Services, Thursday, Jan. 5. The number of participating employers is up 19 percent compared to last January’s Career Fair, said Richard White, director of Career Services. He noted that the outlook for young job seekers is improving. “A recent report from the National Association of Colleges and Employers shows the unemployment rate for bachelor’s graduates, ages 20 to 24, has fallen from 8.3 percent in September 2010 to 6.2 percent in November 2011,” said White. “Another report from the Collegiate Employment Research Institute projects that …
