UPDATED: East Brunswick Physicians Approved to Recommend Medical Marijuana

State grants first permit to grow marijuana. Two physicians in East Brunswick receive permits.

UPDATED: This story now includes information and names of two East Brunswick physicians authorized to recommend medical marijuana. State officials Monday released a list of more than 100 physicians, including two from East Brunswick, one in East Brunswick, authorized to recommend medical marijuana to patients. Also Monday the state Department of Health and Senior Services approved a permit for Montclair-based Greenleaf Compassion Center to start growing marijuana, a move that could make the drug legally available to patients in three to four months.
