Stop by the East Brunswick Public Library this month and take a look at the magnificent work of some of the township’s youngest artists. Artwork from students in the district’s secondary schools will be on display along the Library’s walls and in the display case throughout March. The East Brunswick Museum's holiday exhibit features contributions from three East Brunswick organizations, the New Jersey Antique Bottle Club, the Raritan River Chapter of the National Railway Historic Society and New Jersey Easter Seals.
An old- fashioned Christmas tree lit with candles and handmade ornaments is the first thing you see when you enter the East Brunswick Museum. As you look around, trains and toys, place settings and old-fashioned ornaments beg for your attention. And at the center of it all are contributions from three East Brunswick organizations, the New Jersey Antique Bottle Club, the Raritan River Chapter of the National Railway Historic Society and New Jersey Easter Seals. “We invited outside groups to come in and do a display case or a tree display,” said Susan Luczu. “It introduces the groups to the museum, and the museum to those groups.” From the Historic Railway Society is a display of several small toy trains along with some the area’s railway …

Historic exhibit at Brunswick Square Mall takes a look back at interesting moments in town's past.
Left over headlines and old newspaper clippings. Some old photos, programs and posters. To some, these seem like a recipe for a spring-cleaning, but for others, they are a window into the past. “I’d always been interested in history, and I had this box of stuff that I just couldn’t part with,” said Historic Society member Rosalee Littlefield one afternoon at the Brunswick Square Mall. Inside that box were some of the makings of the historic display that Littlefield created for the mall depicting life in East Brunswick as far back as 150 years ago. Looking forward to the display. Our family has been in the area for over 30years and we have seen many changes.1972-no Quakerbridge Mall, no ShopRite. Our big highlights were trips to Two Guys and Pathmark on Route 18.   more ›
