UPDATED: Former EBHS Football Coach Dies
Melvin A. Caseiro coached EBHS from 1968 until 1976 before becoming an assistant coach for the Rutgers University football team.
The community is mourning the death of Melvin A. Caseiro, 75, the for "When I started teaching and coaching in 1977, Coach Caseiro was one of the first faculty members to make me feel welcomed and comfortable. Since then we have had a wonderful relationship," said Frank Noppenberger, the district's Athletic Director. "I can distinctly remember going to him for advice about coaching situations on many occasions. He always provided proper guidance. I will always remember him as an upbeat positive teacher in the high school. He had the uncanny ability to always bring a smile to my face. He was one of the great ones.
