Locals Open Staffing Agency in Freehold

Express Employment Professionals will be opening their doors in Freehold this spring.

In 2013 a different kind of business will be opening its doors in Freehold amongst the many different dining and shopping establishments. Express Employment Professionals, a staffing agency, has chosen Freehold to be the home of their newest location thanks to franchisee Jim Puliafico of East Brunswick.  As a former bra designer, Puliafico has been in the business world for over 30 years. However, recent changes in the industry caused Puliafico to begin looking for a change in career.  “I left the fashion industry in July because a lot of the clothing industry in general has gone over seas,” explained Puliafico. “With less opportunity here, I hadn’t really been happy for a number of years, so this was a perfect sign for me to take a break …

Smashburger to Open in January

The restaurant wants to hire kitchen workers, front end help and fill management positions.

Scott Gillman says East Brunswick is a great location for a new Smashburger restaurant. “We’ve always like the area,” said the CEO of Mascot Corporation, owners of all New Jersey Smashburger locations. “We’re always involved with great communities and East Brunswick is a great community, with great kids, great schools and a lot of great families.” The newest Smashburger will be opening in the Summerhill Square on Route 18 in late-January, making it the 12th of its kind in New Jersey. Gillman says surrounding businesses and the community make it a perfect location. “There’s a lot of traffic on Route 18, and it draws people from retail businesses looking for lunch, professional offices, and we have the high school right behind it,” he said…

School of Rock to Open in East Brunswick

Music School to move in next to Jack's Corner Market.

School of Rock hopes to become the newest member of the East Brunswick business community. The rock and roll music school expects to open in a newly created space next to Jack’s Corner Market on Lexington Avenue. Plans call for dividing the space with a firewall and renovating both the new area and Jack’s. “I think it’s a great music town and it’s just a really cool area,” said VP of Marketing Mark Biondi, whose brother Joseph is opening the East Brunswick location. “We’re still in the construction phase, we’re sort of just separating the space and we’re hoping to be open in September. That’s what we’re shooting for.” With 90 locations across the United States and more outside of the country, School of Rock provides afterschool music …
