Hurricane Sandy
No School Thursday
Snow, a new power outage and downed power lines and trees mean there will be no school on Thursday.
The East Brunswick School District announced that there will be no school on Thursday, Nov. 8. The decision was made due to extensive power outages in the township, including one that hit the majority of the town on Wednesday. In addition, the nor’easter has created more downed trees and power lines due to the snow, said the announcement. The decision was made after consulting with the Department of Public Safety and the Office of Emergency Management, according to the announcement. Follow Patch on Facebook.
