Police Ask Residents to Limit Travel Friday
The area is under a Winter Storm Warning for Friday.
With a winter storm bearing down on the area, the East Brunswick Police Department is asking that people keep vehicles of the street and limit unnecessary travel. According to an alert issued by the police, a winter storm warning is in effect from 3 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday. According to the National Weather Service, heavy snow is expected with accumulations of 6 to 10 inches, along with some possible ice. Any snow on Friday morning will change to rain during the daylight hours then back to heavy snow late in the day and evening. One to 2 inches per hour of accumulations are expected for several hours, according to the weather service. Wind gusts are expected to be between 30 to 40 mph.
