I’m Totally Smarter Than a Fourth-Grader

Budget cuts and staff reductions are signs of trouble for East Brunswick's students.

Of the many things I’ve done in my life, nothing is as gratifying as self-congratulation. As such, I’m always looking for ways to boost my already over-inflated ego, but have started running out of new things I’m good at. For example, I’ve tried for years to dunk a basketball and at this point it’s clear that it’s never going to happen. In contrast, I perfected the art of scrambling eggs over a decade ago and therefore have a difficult time still being proud of it. This past week, I realized I have a talent I had never considered assessing before. What is this mysterious skill, you ask? Reading. I dont think reducing teachers in East Brunswick school or freezing salaries is the way to go, but looking at the school budget and comparing top school districts in NJ where residents pay less taxes and have far better school, makes me think??
