Buy A Ticket to the Gown Sale and Win Tickets to a Play

The Friends of the Library's bridal gown sale on Saturday includes a chance to win tickets to "It Shoulda Been You" at the George Street Playhouse.

The Friends of the East Brunswick Library have been given three vouchers for two tickets each to see "It Shoulda Been You" starring Tyne Daly and directed by David Hyde Pierce at at the George Street playhouse.

The tickets will be given away to three people who buy tickets to the Friends’ bridal gown sale, to be held Saturday, July 30, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Patrons can buy a ticket for the bridal gown sale and be entered into the drawing by bringing it in on the day of the event. Tickets should have the person’s name and phone number on the back. While you don’t have to attend the bridal gown sale to be eligible, you must purchase a ticket and then return it to the Circulation Desk on the day of the event.

Tickets are still available for the sale, which will feature new, one-of-a-kind bridal gowns for sale starting at $100 each. 

The dresses were donated by East Brunswick resident Tina Tsang and Michelle and Sunny Chou, owners of bridal shop Sunny’s Boutique, which closed. All sales are final and cash only is accepted.

In addition, there will be an open fitting room. No makeup, perfume or jewelry will be allowed in the fitting room.

Proceeds from the event will go toward the Friends of the Library, with works to provide additional funding and other items to the library. Tickets are $5 and are on sale now at the Circulation Desk. Garment bags for the gowns and dresses were donated by Mr. A’s Cleaners, 40 S. Main St., Milltown, N.J. 08850.

"It Shoulda Been You" will run at the George Street Playhouse Oct. 4 through Nov. 6.
