Get Out: Your Weekend Planner

Here's a list of just a few things to do this weekend.

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.

Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check our picks for the activities to hit.

  1. For Kids, don’t miss Eliot the Superhero Magic Man at the East Brunswick Public Library from 2 to 3 p.m. Tickets will be distributed a half hour before the show.
  2. The East Brunswick High School Drama Club is set for its second weekend of “Guys and Dolls.” The story focuses on Nathan Detroit and his floating craps game. Watch as he struggles to scrape $1,000 together to rent a place for the game by betting the great gambler Sky Masterson that Sky can’t get pure-hearted Sarah Brown on a date to Havana. Shows are 7 p.m. Friday, March 11 and Saturday, March 12, at the East Brunswick High School, 380 Cranbury Road. Tickets are available the night of the performance. Tickets are $10 for adults, 5 for students and senior citizens. The box office opens at 6 p.m.
  3. If you like crafts, then head to the 4-H Club’s Spring Fling Craft show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 12. The event will be held at the 4-H Log Cabin at the Fairgrounds, 535 Cranbury Road.
  4. Head to the at the Cranbury School on Main Street in Cranbury. This juried show of over 100 artisans from all over is a large fundraiser for the , where it will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission: $5 general public, $2 senior citizens and $1 children under 14.
  5. Head to Play House 22 Friday through Sunday for a Black Box performance of “All the Kings Women” by New Jersey playwright Luigi Jannuzzi. The play, which will be performed Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m., is a series of vignettes, monologues, and short scenes about women moving in to, out of, and around the life of the King of Rock and Roll himself, Elvis Presley.
