Veterans Day Ceremonies Tonight

There is a full slate of Veterans Day ceremonies and activities beginning at 6 p.m. tonight.

East Brunswick Township will hold its annual tonight at in the Municipal Complex at 6 p.m. for a wreath laying, dedication of memorial pavers and guest speaker Randi Cairns of Home Front Hearts.

Later, there will be a patriotic sing-along, trivia contests, door prizes. The ceremony will be accompanied by bagpiper William Lupinacci Jr., the James Paige Detachment No. 1127 Marine Corps League, the East Brunswick Community Chorus and Boy Scout Troop No. 223.

The event is hosted by East Brunswick and the East Brunswick Veterans Alliance, AmVets Post No. 34, Jewish War Veterans Post No. 311, VFW Post No. 133,  Vietnam Veterans of America, and the American Merchant Marines. The event is sponsored by the Recreation and Parks and Human Relations Department. In the event of rain, the event will be held in the nearby .

Following the ceremony, there will be an at the . From 7 to 8:30 p.m. there will be more refreshments, singing and door prizes in an event sponsored by the Human Relations Council and Recreation Department. The East Brunswick Chorus and Kathy Spadafino will provide entertainment for the free event.
