Adopt a Pet This Weekend

Help find a new home for a pet this weekend by attending one of three adoption events sponsored by the this weekend. ARF holds weekly adoption events throughout the area to find homes for animals that would have been euthanized in a shelter or whose parents can no longer care for them.

Every Saturday and Sunday you can find ARF at the PetSmart on Route 18 in East Brunswick from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; at the Petco on Route 1 in Edison from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and at the Englishtown Auction, 90 Wilson Road, Englishtown, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (located in the big gray building). While many animals are available, here is just a few you can find this weekend.

Cuddles is an eight month old female Shepard/terrier pup, very friendly and sweet. She is already spayed. The accompanying photo was taken when she was two or three months old. Her breed is undetermined. To adopt her will cost $100. Cuddles will be at the Petco adoption center in East Brunswick Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. Check the ARF website Saturday and Sunday at 8:30 a.m. to see if anything has changed with this dog.

Valto is a six month old male beagle that is up to date on its shots. Valto will be neutered next week. It is 80 percent housebroken, but crated also. It has never ben around other bets and has been good with a 2-year-old child. To adopt Valto it will cost $250, which includes his neuter, shots and ID chip. This dog will be at the Petco adoption center on Route 1 in Edison in the Home Depot shopping center, open Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Check the ARF website on Saturday and Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. to see if anything has changed.

CC is a wonderfully sweet female long hair calico cat whose owners had to move. She is 4 years old, and just a doll. She loves to lay in bed with you, and wants nothing more than to be pet and loved. She is spayed, and has her shots. She loves kids, cats, and dogs, and is fostered in a home with a macaw, so she is now used to that as well. She is really a great cat, and will make anyone a dear pet. This cat will be at the Petco adoption center on Route 1 in Edison in the Home Depot shopping center, open Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Check the ARF website at 8:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday to see if anything has changed.

Mort is a 16 week male kitten. He is a little shy but sweet. He is neutered and has his first two distemper shots. To adopt him will cost $100, which includes the altering and shots. A littermate has also been combo tested and is negative.
