District Releases Orientation, Registration Dates

School is just around the corner, Thursday, Sept. 8, to be exact, and the district is ready.

East Brunswick released a schedule of orientations and for new students, musicians and more designed to get parents and students ready for the upcoming year. There also are a few fundraisers scheduled for August and September, so keep an eye out for those as well.

East Brunswick Public Schools Events and Activities for the 2011-2012 School Year are Available Online at www.ebnet.org. • You must register by Aug. 19 for East Brunswick Public Schools Community Programs Department’s School Aged Child Care Programs for the 2011-2012 School Year. Families planning to use the Early Morning (EMP), After School Kids (ASK), Encore and Kindergarten Extended Care Programs must register ahead of time to begin any of the programs on Sept. 8, the first day of school. This is to ensure that everything is in place for a safe, smooth opening. Those registering after Aug. 19 will not be able to begin the program until Sept. 15. To register, please use the online registration and payment system accessible under the Quick Links at www.ebnet.org .
  • EBHS Cheer Booster Club to hold a Car Wash on Saturday, Aug. 20. Have the EBHS Cheerleaders wash the summer heat and dirt off of your vehicle. Bring your car, van or truck to East Brunswick High School, 380 Cranbury Road on Saturday, Aug. 20, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. $5 per car and SUV and $7 per truck.  All proceeds will be used to fund the needs of team in the coming year.  
  • HMS 6th Grade Orientation: Monday Aug. 29, 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. New 7th Grade Students 1 p.m.
  • CJHS Grade 8/New Student Orientation: Wednesday, Aug. 31, 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 12:30-2:30 p.m.; Friday Sept. 2, 8:30-10:30 a.m.
  • EBHS Grade 10/New Student Orientation:  Thursday, Sept. 1, 9 a.m.
  • EBHS Cross-Country Booster Club to hold a Car Wash on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 4 and 5: Bring your car, van or truck to East Brunswick High School Patio, 380 Cranbury Road for a good wash. Team members will be there from 8 to 2:30 p.m.
