Investigation Continues in VFW Crash

Four people, including the driver, were injured in the accident.

No summonses have been issued in an accident that happened Friday in the parking lot of the VFW hall on Cranbury Road, but the investigation is ongoing police say.

On Friday night, a car driven by Frank Russo, 89, of East Brunswick, backed into another car in the VFW parking lot, pushing it into two other vehicles, before he drove forward and into the VFW building, injuring a patron inside and striking another car.

Four people were injured in the accident, including Russo, the patron, James Scudder, and Russo's two passengers, all of which were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

On Monday, Det. Sgt. Kevin Zebro of East Brunswick Police said that all the victims were in stable condition.
