Bicyclist on Ryders Lane Hit by Car

The 15-year-old was taken to Robert Wood Johnson with non-life threatening injuries.

A bicyclist was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Monday after being hit by a car that traveling on Ryders Lane.

According to police, Emilio Rojas-Cabrera was driving a 2002 Nissan north on Ryders Lane when he hit a 15-year-old bicyclist who was traveling west on Cranbury Road against the red traffic signal.

Police said the driver and bicyclist were unable to see each other because of the line of cars waiting for a green signal in the left turn lane.

The bicyclist was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital by Trans Med with non-life threatening injuries.

The accident is still under investigation by Patrolman Sean Garrison of the East Brunswick Police Department’s Special Operations Unit. No summonses have been issued at this this.
