YouTube Video Shows Aftermath of Monday's Accident

Emanuel Garcia of the Bronx, N.Y., was charged with manslaughter Monday following an accident that killed two Spotswood women.

In the accident, a Bronx, N.Y., man was charged with aggravated manslaughter after he sped through a red light and crashed into the car of a mother and daughter from Spotswood on Monday, Oct. 1 on Ryders Lane. Following the accident, Emanuel Garcia, 29, ran from the scene, but was apprehended outside an office building on Summerhill Road shortly before 3:42 p.m., according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. Garcia was charged with two counts of aggravated manslaughter following the deaths of Dolores Krowicki, 83, and her daughter, Karen A. Larue, 60, both of Spotswood. Superior Court Judge Dennis Nieves, sitting in New Brunswick, set bail at $1 million for Garcia, who is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in North Brunswick.
