Leaf Collection Begins Today

Whether it’s in a bag or at the curb, the township leaf collection pick up officially begins today.

The loose leaf collection schedule will run from today, Monday, Nov. 7, through Friday, Dec. 30, and bagged pick up will run from Nov. 7 until Friday, Dec. 23.

Bagged leaves will be collected on scheduled recycling dates. Only leaves placed in biodegradable bags will be collected, which are available at the . Brush, dirt, branches and trash should not be placed in the bags.

Loose leaves should not be brought to the curb until seven days before the scheduled pick up, and all raking should be done before the pick up. Remove all brush, branches, soil and yard waste and don’t block storm water catch basins. Loose leaves will not be collected after the scheduled collection dates.

Loose leave pick up Nov 7 through Nov. 18 for residents living between Ryders Lane, Rues Lane, Old Bridge Turnpike and Milltown Road (PWSD #2);

Nov. 19 through Dec. 2 for residents living south of Cranbury Road and Rues Lane, and bordering Route 18 (PWSD #3);

Dec. 3 through Dec. 16 for residents living in the area of Church Lane, Riva Avenue, parts of Ryders Lane, and parts of Dunhams Corner and Cranbury roads (PWSD #4);

and Dec. 17 through Dec. 30 for residents along portions of Ryders Lane and Milltown Road (PWSD #1).

Take a look at the accompanying map for a more detailed schedule and explanation. The Recycling Center is located at 357 Dunhams Corner Road. It’s open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Sunday. Proof of residence is required to pick up free biodegradable bags.
