EBBL Needs Players for Fall Ball

The East Brunswick Baseball League needs players for this year's Fall Ball Season.

The league is looking for players for baseball and softball between the ages of 5 and 16 (age is based on players’ age on April 30, 2013 for baseball and Jan. 1, 2013 for softball).

The season is expected to start Sept. 16. EBBL Vice President Carl Nelson said Fall Ball can be difficult because of competition from other fall sports, including soccer, football and lacrosse.

The Fall Ball program is open to East Brunswick residents as well as residents of the surrounding towns and the $75 Registration fee includes six to eight games (mostly weather dependent), a uniform (hat and shirt), and practices at the team managers' discretion.

Registration is $75 for baseball players between 5 and 12 years old ($90 for non-residents) and $95 for players 13 and older ($110 for non-residents).

Registration for all softball players regardless of age is $75 for residents and $90 for non-residents.

There is a $75 snack bar bond for parents of children 7 and up (the bond is refundable).

Make checks payable to EBBL – with separate checks for registration and for the snack bar bond. All new players must submit a copy of their birth certificate.  Please mail your Players’ information and the appropriate registration bond checks to: EBBL Registration, P.O. In addition, EBBL will be having an in person registration on Thursday, Aug, 29, at the EBBL Baseball Complex (Dunhams Corner Road, directly across the street from Crystal Springs Water Park), from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
