Locals make Dean's List

East Brunswick students are making their presence felt at the college level.

The following East Brunswick students attending college were named to the Dean's List at their respective colleges.

Kathleen A. Wierzbicki, of East Brunswick, was named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2012 semester at Stonehill College. She is a member of the class of 2013. To qualify for the Dean's List at Stonehill, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.

Cara Geiger, of East Brunswick, was named to Millersville University of Pennsylvania's Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester. The 1,603 students named to Millersville University's fall 2012 Dean's List earned a semester grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher and attempted at least 12 credits of course work.

Sara N Shabo, of East Brunswick, was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester at the University of Rhode Island. To be included on the Dean's List, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 credits with a 3.30 quality point average.

Victor Angeline, of East Brunswick, son of Janet Angeline and Victor Angeline, has been named to the fall term Dean's List at Hartwick College. Angeline is a junior at Hartwick. Inclusion on Hartwick's Dean List is an indication of excellent academic work, including the completion of a full course load with at least a 3.5 grade point average based on a 4.0 scale.

Tyler Whigham was a recipient of the Dean's Award for academic excellence during the 2012 fall term at Colgate University, where Whigham is a member of the Class of 2016. To be eligible for the Dean's Award, a Colgate student must achieve higher than a 3.30 average while enrolled in at least four courses. Whigham is a graduate of East Brunswick High School, and lives in East Brunswick.

Rachel Christensen, of East Brunswick, a member of the class of 2015 at Washington and Lee University, has earned Dean's list status for the fall 2012 term. Dean's list status at Washington and Lee represents a term grade-average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale.

Catherine Kirbos of East Brunswick, was among the 1,300 students recognized for academic excellence by being named to the Dean's List at The University of Scranton for the fall 2012 semester. Students at the Jesuit university must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours to make the Dean's List. The list includes students from the College of Arts and Sciences, the Kania School of Management, the Panuska College of Professional Studies and the College of Graduate and Continuing Education. Kirbos is a junior Biology major at Scranton.

Kevin Lai, of East Brunswick, was named to the Dean's List at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, for the fall 2012 semester. Lai is studying international business. Students must earn at least a 3.5 grade-point average to be added to the Dean's List.

Ratish Malhotra, of East Brunswick, was named to the Cornell University College of Arts and Sciences' Dean's List for Fall Semester 2012. The College of Arts and Sciences is Cornell University's largest undergraduate college. It provides a high-quality liberal arts education to its own students, and its courses are also accessible to all other students at Cornell. The college's faculty includes national and international leaders in their respective disciplines.

Sherry Wang, a resident of East Brunswick, of East Brunswick, was named to the Cornell University College of Arts and Sciences' Dean's List for Fall Semester 2012. The College of Arts and Sciences is Cornell University's largest undergraduate college. It provides a high-quality liberal arts education to its own students, and its courses are also accessible to all other students at Cornell. The college's faculty includes national and international leaders in their respective disciplines.

Dominick Mangarella, of East Brunswick, was named to the Fall 2012 Caldwell College Dean's List. In order to achieve this honor, students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher and complete at least 12 credits during the semester.

Ryan Michael Marosy, of East Brunswick, has been named to the President's List at Clemson University for the fall 2012 semester. Marosy is majoring in Environmental Natural Resources (Natural Resources and Economic Policy). To be named to the President's List, a student must achieve a 4.0 (all As) grade-point average.
