Three East Brunswick Bears varsity wrestlers placed in the Region 5 tournament this weekend, which means up next for them is the state championship, to be held at Atlantic City beginning later this week.
Jonathan Shleyfer defeated Chris Cancelliere of North Brunswick in the 145 weigh class to win the Region 5 crown, and Julian Quintin fell to Tyler Rios of Highland Park at 189 to take second in the tournament.
